This face mask that I'm going to present to you does not bear any ingredients that raise questions, so fear not for it won't cause any burning sensation nor pain. Plus it suits all skin types!
Ingredients:
- 1 part of Raw Honey
- 1 part of Azuki Bean Powder
- A pinch of Turmeric Powder (optional)
- A few drops of warm water/tea
*Please do patch testing first!
Step 1: Preparation
For one application, 1/2 tbsp of raw honey & 1/2 tbsp of azuki bean powder is enough for me. If you have turmeric powder in your kitchen, feel free to add a pinch as turmeric is known to fight against acne and brighten overall skin complexion. Keep in mind though, too much of turmeric powder can possibly stain your face yellow *comes from personal experience*. :]
Step 2: Mixing
Mix all the dry ingredients with honey using a fork or a chopstick. It might take a few minutes for the mixture to be fully incorporated. Add a couple of drops of hot water in order to slightly liquify the concoction.
Using your finger or a brush, apply this mixture on your clean, bare face. Avoid eye area, coat even layer-- we all know the drill right? Leave on for 15 minutes or so. I sometimes cover my lips as well for that extra soft baby lips.
Step 4: Wash off
With warm water, wash off the face mask. Due to hydrophilic nature of honey, it shouldn't be too much trouble to take this off. Massaging face in circular motions while it's wet acts as gentle exfoliation and will remove the last bits of impurities on face. Gently pat dry your face afterwards and feel free to move onto your night time skincare routine.
Seriously, I ♡♡♡ this face mask.
It is so simple to make, only requires a few, easily accessible ingredients, and gives back such a great noticeable result.
