CURRENT FAVORITES // SUMMER 2015

beauty
Lightweight, yet leaves matte finish which is perfect for my oily skin. My overall skin looks a lot more even toned, and a little bit brighter.
  • Wet n Wild Megalast Lip color in Bare It All
If you like creamy lipsticks like Bite beauty, this isn't for you. The packaging looks and feels really cheap too. But this color is such a flattering beige brownish nude for all skin colors, and it lasts pretty much all day long. Best of all, this costed me $1.86 at CVS!  Though you do need a lip balm underneath, nothing can beat the pigmentation and quality for this price.
Glides on like butter, blends really easily, really pigmented (you'd only need just one or two swipes), and the color is gorgeous grey-ish brown. I can't say anything but good about this product!
This screams for summah! The scent is so heavenly-- the watermelon and coconut instantly takes me to a tropical beach island, and the product makes my skin soft yet moisturized. I do need to warn you that the fragrance in this body wash is quite strong, since scented things can be bothersome to some people.

fashion
Inexpensive, lightweight, small in size but roomy inside, cute design, sturdy zipper, I'm sold! Just waiting for an email for the black one to be restocked.  (That's how much I love this backpack).

miscellaneous
After having spent $65 for replacing my broken iPhone glass screen, I realized that cute cases are (tempting but) really not worth it. I was all for protection, protection, and protection! I watched a couple of youtube videos on iPhone case drop tests and came across Speck Candyshell. It does make my phone a bit bulkier than it was before, but I love how the graphic is in super high resolution and that it feels very sturdy. I was in a deep debate between this case and a Rifle Paper Co case, but knowing how clumsy I am, I'm glad I went with this one in the end.
  • Sigma Spa Brush Cleaning Glove Dupe from Aliexpress
I heard that makeup cleaning gloves make the brush washing process go a lot faster, but I couldn't justify spending $40 for a silicone oven mitt. So I searched Aliexpress which is a magical place for all kinds of things duped. It looks exactly like the glove from Sigma, has reduced the washing time to nearly half, and does make the cleaning process a lot easier than doing by hands. Though it took nearly a month to get to my home from China, I think $15 is worth an investment for a better brush washing experience!
